Program Areas
Appleseed Childhood Education provides support for new and existing programs that serve young people from birth through high school in the areas of high-quality early childhood education; K-12 academic support and enrichment; postsecondary preparedness; and youth engagement in learning environments.
Philosophy & Services
As an organization, Appleseed Childhood Education believes that:
From birth onward, all children should have the chance to learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment, regardless of geography, family income, race/ethnic origin, or religion.
Quality child care and positive learning opportunities can take a variety of forms and can happen in a variety of environments.
Sustaining affordable, quality child care services and positive learning opportunities requires effort and resources from stakeholders across a community.
The availability of affordable, quality child care options and positive learning opportunities makes a community stronger in the present and also strengthens its future.
